Heavy lake-effect snow will continue through 4 p.m. Wednesday, with 2 to 4 feet of snow possible in the most persistent bands. The heaviest accumulations are expected across southern Jefferson County, northern Oswego County, western Lewis County, and the Tug Hill Plateau. Meanwhile, A dangerous and prolonged lake-effect snow event is currently hammering the Niagara Region, with bands of heavy, wind-driven snow triggering travel warnings, school closures, and significant disruptions on both sides of the US-Canada border.
