Episode 11 Thanks for tuning in to OctopusDo! This tutorial will teach you a basic wire weaving technique. This weave/pattern is one of the first ones I learned when I started weaving with wire. It uses 2 frame wires and is woven in a 2x2 pattern. This simple foundational wire weaving technique can be turned into many different final projects or used as the basis for more complex weaves, and it's perfect for beginners! For this tutorial, I am using 2 different wire sizes, 16g (larger) wire for the frame wires and 26g (smaller) wire for the weaving wire. These are great sizes to start with. If the 16g is difficult to work with, use 18g. Stay tuned for future projects where I'll use this weave to create jewelry.
