OKRs or Objectives are perhaps the most effective way to set the right goals. There are plenty of goal setting frameworks out there, but an OKR gives you the direction you need to gauge what your objective is and how your key results can help get you there. This was first proposed by Andrew Grove of Intel Corp and later popularized by John Doerr. Having become essential in performance management, OKRs are often pitted against KPIs, like OKR vs KPI. However, they are very different. When you are starting your goals with OKRs, you’ll have an idea of the direction that you’re heading in and how you can measure your progress.
