Making Homemade CALENDULA SALVE (Meditative) — Ep. 071

Just felt like waking up one morning and making some homemade calendula salve. Most of these will be used as little gifts for friends and loved ones. With this recipe, I used calendula, St. Johns wort, and comfrey. I only showed adding the calendula here, but this is actually a calendula, St. John's wort and comfrey salve. Containers (may contain affiliate codes): Vivaplex green glass containers - https://amzn.to/3qZGG8z Recipe: Take dried calendula flowers and infuse in olive oil. Separately do the same for Comfrey and St. John's wort. Shake bottles regularly and let infuse for a few weeks. Strain the oil from the infusions through a cheesecloth Compost the remaining plant parts Place approximately 1 cup of infused oil aside. Add some vitamin E to mixture. Use a double boiler and slowly melt 1/4 cup of beeswax over the double boiler. Once it fully melts, add the 1 cup of oil over the beeswax and make sure it consistently melts. Stir as needed. Before you remove from heat, you can add some drops of your favorite essential oil (I used lavender) Before the mixture cools, add to containers. Let cool before placing the caps on tightly Store in a cool, dark place away from heat and light.
