Johnny Quinn, from Millington, Tennessee, sustained life-changing injuries at just four-years-old and nearly died in a fire at his home but was saved by his older sister Leah who pulled him out of the blaze. Johnny suffered second, third and fourth-degree burns and had over 100 reconstructive surgeries. Johnny struggled to accept his scars for a long time but he is now embracing his unique look and inspires others to accept their scars. Johnny told Truly: “I'm not surviving, I'm thriving. I'm going above and beyond what I used to be doing and I'm really enjoying it and I would not go back to how it was before if that was ever an option.” Johnny, who has recently turned 21 years old, was featured by Truly in 2018 at the age of 18 when he had just started embracing his scars.
