Batala Police Arrest 7 for Writing ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ Slogans | Linked to BKI & Pannu In a major breakthrough, Batala Police in Gurdaspur district have arrested 7 accused linked to Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) for writing pro-Khalistan slogans at public places. According to SSP Suhail Mir Qasim, the graffiti appeared last month at Batala Railway Station, Achaleshwar Sahib Temple, and R.R. Bawa College walls. The responsibility was later claimed by banned outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. Following intensive investigation under the supervision of SP Investigation, police arrested seven suspects who revealed they acted on the directions of Pratap Singh alias Raja Haruwal, based in Armenia. Raja Haruwal allegedly sent ₹14,000 to the group to buy paint for writing the slogans. Police have confirmed Raja Haruwal’s close links with BKI’s Shamsher Singh alias Honey and SFJ’s Pannun.
