Conservation International and partners have been working for years to lay the groundwork for high seas protections through a powerful combination of science, diplomacy, and support of Indigenous leadership. Now, we’re closer than ever to reaching the ratification threshold for the historic United Nations treaty, which will enable the protection of the high seas.
