IHHP - Mornington Island "Strong Mind, Strong Spirit"

IHHP artists in partnership with Central and North West Queensland Medicare Local, "Kalngkurr" Mornington Island Wellbeing Centre, and Mirndiyan Gununa worked alongside the talented youth and elders from Mornington Island community, to create this health promotion music video called "Strong Mind, Strong Spirit"". IHHP was privileged to revisit Mornington Island for the 5th time to make their 3rd music video talking about health issues around, social and emotional well being, Depression, Stress and Anxiety. IHHP was also privileged to work with songmen and elders that put strong culture in this video. The result is so powerful and its a credit to the community. This song is guaranteed to make you think about the positives in yourself and the strengths that everyone has to offer. We launched the new wellbeing centre and what a special space that MI now has to go and talk to health professionals to get things off their chest and seek help. Power to the old songmen, culture leaders and the young leaders, may your voice be heard, may you stand proud, black and strong.
