Hello, dear friends—I’m Myrtle Heery, and I’m so honored to share a glimpse into my journey and the story behind my memoir, Tracking Kindness: A Memoir of Life’s Teachings in Kindness. This book is a collection of 78 stories from my life—starting in Savannah, Georgia and carrying me all the way to Petaluma, California. Along the way, I’ve been shaped by powerful encounters and friendships—with people like Mother Teresa, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and the Dalai Lama. These moments, both extraordinary and everyday, have left me with one lasting belief: kindness matters most. I wrote this book for my grandson and his generation.
