As a runner living with multiple sclerosis, it was an incredible honor to be the keynote speaker at the National MS Society Team Dinner ahead of the Chicago Marathon. Diagnosed with MS in 2022, my life completely changed. It began with numbness and tingling in my feet that slowly spread through my body. Within weeks, running felt impossible. Yet just four days after being diagnosed, I ran the Berlin Marathon—a decision that transformed how I viewed my illness and my purpose. In this speech, I share the highs and lows of my MS journey, from the moment of diagnosis to finding strength, purpose, and community through running. I open up about what it’s like to live with chronic illness, and how I’ve turned adversity into advocacy. The response from the audience was emotional and powerful. People newly diagnosed with MS told me they finally felt seen. Families shared that my story gave them hope. If you or someone you love is living with multiple sclerosis, or you’re looking for inspiration to keep pushing forward through life’s hardest moments, this video is for you. ✨ Watch to learn more about multiple sclerosis, hope, resilience, and the power of running to change lives. #MultipleSclerosis #MSSociety #MSAwareness #RunningWithMS #ChronicIllness #Inspiration #MotivationalSpeech #ElizabethPehota #ChicagoMarathon #NationalMSSociety #BerlinMarathon
