Thierry Mugler’s Spring/Summer 1992 collection was shown in Paris. The collection was inspired by the American Western genre, with Mugler favoring materials such as metal, leather, latex, and lycra. Mugler additionally drew upon a range of cultural references, from vamp goth to My Fair Lady, and showcased a compelling mix of models, cult icons, and actresses including Eva Herzigova, Beverly Peele, Linda Evangelista, Ivanka Trump, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Dianne Brille to parade his structured and extreme silhouettes. At the heart of the collection was the corset - the star of the show was the infamous Harley Davidson bustier worn at the show's finale with fringed leather shorts by Niki Taylor. The Western-themed looks were paired with leather arm cuffs, holsters, biker gloves, patent cowboy hats, thigh-high boots, and chokers.
