Editing was a ball ache I can't lie, but I enjoyed it overall. I'd say it got easier as I went along and got the hang of things. I was using Canva and realized about halfway through that it's hot ass for making videos, super laggy and so many things are just awkward. Like you can't even record voice-overs, you have to record on something else and upload it. That's just one thing, there's so much that is just bad about it. If I ever make another video I'll use something a bit better like Cap Cut, I used it for a few touch ups and the background music and it seems so much better. I actually ended up really liking the intro I made, I do think the music in the intro is copyrighted but It's not like anyone is watching so I doubt I'd get striked or anything. The outro was a bit of a rush but I think it does the job, I like the music I chose for it though. It just sounds right for an outro (Also pretty sure the outro music is royalty free so I'd be able to use it again). I think I'm happy with the video overall but I know I can do better, like some of the cuts were awkward because I didn't leave enough gaps between a lot of my sentences so it made it difficult. Also because I couldn't record the voice-overs I had to use all the original audio so couldn't fix a lot of stuff like that in editing (Canva is hot ass). I'm relatively happy with the actual content, I definitely could have had more energy but I've never done this before so felt a little cringe and nervous but I think it's fine. Gives a more casual vibe, which although is probably less likely to keep retention, it is more in line with the kind of content I enjoy but yeah definitely could've been more enthusiastic. If I ever make another video I'd probably do a script (or probably notes) just because I was thinking of what to say while on camera which I think gave it a bit of an awkward feeling and made some sections better than others, like for example I feel like the Kagurabachi and Fire Punch sections were better than the Monster and Death Note sections (But I'm still happy with them I guess). Also I've typed the word awkward about nine times in this description and have still had to use auto - correct every single time ffs. I did end up making a TikTok but it was just a slideshow of the haul so my face or voice isn't in it, I was gonna post whatever TikTok I made on here as a short but I can't just post a slideshow can I. Maybe I'll use AI to make some clips from the video and post them as shorts and TikToks later but probably not. If anyone has read to this point you're a bit strange, you don't know me, why are you reading what is basically a diary entry. If you've committed this far though you might as well comment a recommendation, I'll genuinely read it if I haven't already. Branding Waffle: I went with the name Hazard because I'm a big Chelsea fan (Champions of the world BTW) so it's a bit of an homage to Hazard, went with HZD as it's a bit more memorable and stands out more, just has that quick and punchy YouTube vibe. It sorta looks like a logo more than a name which I think is good. A big reason for the name was also because it would make branding and graphics easier, as I could just make a custom hazard sign and use things like caution tape for designs. Also instantly gave me channel colours. Black and Yellow works well because it stands out and catches the eye, same reason I chose the font I did too. Also I didn't actually notice until I was writing this section that I used the same brand colors as Vanoss who's my favorite YouTuber, maybe is was a subconscious thing. I mean Black and Yellow are a pretty common colour combo, there's literally a song about it so maybe I'm overthinking it. In fact, Vanoss just took it from Batman so who cares. Although Batman is also my favorite superhero so maybe I took it from that subconsciously. This is stupid, I'm gonna take this out. In fact, now I'm thinking about it Vanoss is more Gold and Black than Yellow and Black so my original point wasn't even right. He even uses white in his actual profile picture too, I'm deleting this. Anyway if I make anymore videos I'll use the same Thumbnail format as it will make it obvious to any return viewers who the video is by. I'll also use that same text for everything to do with branding so everything I do is recognizable. Only problem with that might be that I did the font design on Canva so not sure If i'll be able to use it on Cap Cut.
