Item Number: F2000.044.03 Color film with audio describes the elements that might attract a business to start or move to Oklahoma. The film begins with a review of resources (water, land, minerals, etc), but emphasizes people with significant labor skills who enjoy a rich heritage of productivity. Highlighted are the traditions of 67 Indian tribes. The film continues with a spectrum of products produced in the state: beef and dairy stock, hogs, poultry, agricultural crops (wheat, sorghum, corn, peanuts, cotton, vegetables, cotton, etc.), lumber, oil, and oil byproducts, minerals (lead, zinc, gypsum, granite) and minerals used in construction (cement, brick, tile, glass). Oklahoma enjoys great electrical production and transportation capability. The state's strong connections to aviation are featured. Away from the workplace, Oklahoma families enjoy well-kept homes, excellent schools, churches, medical facilities, museums and continuous access to recreation resources (boating, golf, gardening, fishing, etc.). The film concludes by again mentioning the strong labor pool, a tax structure that favors manufacturing, and a mindset toward expansion of the state's economy.
