It is eaten with rice as a side dish in Tamilnadu, but is extremely suited to go with roti also. This has been made using Palak (Spinach) & Amaranth leaves. But you can use most other greens also and make this healthy but tasty recipe. Green leafy vegetables have 3 to 10 mg of iron for every 100 g of the vegetable. Adding lemon juice to this curry helps in absorption of iron, as there is Vitamin C in lemon. Therefore this is one of the foods high in iron and Vitamin C The ingredients are as follows: (for 2 - 3 people) 1. Greens - 1 bunch 2. Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons 3. Mustard - 1 tsp 4. Chana Dal - 1 tsp 5. Urad Dal - 1 tsp 6. Red chilli - 2 Nos 7. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp 8. Salt - To taste 9. Grated coconut - 4 tablespoons 10.
