In this video, we will discuss a basic BJT Common-Emitter Amplifier using a NPN BJT with an emitter bypass capacitor. The emitter bypass capacitor will make the voltage gain of the circuit much larger than what we have discussed in Example 2 (Link: • BJT Common-Emitter Amplifier with Emitter ... ) and will make the voltage gain also much more stable to current gain variation than in Example 3 (Link: • BJT Common-Emitter Amplifier with Emitter ... ). We will discuss the effect of the partial bypass capacitor on the voltage gain. We will use the DC analysis and AC analysis step by step, and use the DC parameters in the AC model to determine the voltage gain.
