We begin our scenic drive on Loveland Pass in Colorado, starting westbound from I-70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel, where the crisp mountain air and towering peaks of the Continental Divide set the stage for a breathtaking journey. Winding through tight switchbacks and sweeping curves, we ascend to the pass’s summit at 11,990 feet, surrounded by rugged alpine vistas and snow-covered slopes. Descending toward Silverthorne, the road unfurls into the lush Blue River Valley, with distant peaks framing charming mountain towns. Reversing our route, we climb east from Silverthorne, the road hugging steep cliffs and offering panoramic views of Dillon Reservoir’s shimmering waters. As we crest the pass again, the descent back to I-70 reveals dramatic perspectives of the Arapaho Basin and the tunnel’s rugged entrance, completing an unforgettable loop through Colorado’s high country.
