The Supreme Court is set to pronounce its order on a plea concerning its August 11 direction to permanently relocate stray dogs from streets to shelters in the Delhi National Capital Region. A special three-judge bench had reserved its order on the matter on August 14. The initial directive from a two-judge bench, which instructed authorities to begin moving the canines, led to widespread protests by animal activists and celebrities across the country.
