Watch: Why NHM workers threatened to launch agitation at Nabanna Biswabrata Goswami Hummingbird News KRISHNAGAR, 8 DEC: Contractual employees of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), including multipurpose female health workers, on Tuesday staged a protest in Krishnagar demanding regularisation of their jobs. The employees are demanding regularisation from a very long time. They had earlier too protested in the favour of their demands while the government has not paid any heed to meet their demands. Hundreds of NRHM workers took to the street and conducted a rally on the highroad in favour of their five-point charter of demands before staging protest agitation inside the premises of the chief medical officer of health (CMOH). They later submitted a deputation before the CMOH and urged him to take necessary steps so that their demands are met.
