Welcome back to the channel folks, I’m glad you’re joining me today as I rip into this new Debt Weapon that obviously has quite a hefty marketing budget behind it. Yeah, I know, you’ve already read the title of the video, so you already have an idea of my opinion on this specific HELOC, but before I get into why I think this is a horrible Debt Weapon, let’s get the positives out of the way. The pros are the lack of closing costs, the 15-minute approval process, and the 2% cash back. Not bad, but definitely not enough to outweigh the reason why this is the worst HELOC on the planet... Anyone who’s heard me speak on HELOCs on this channel knows how much I love them for their investment and debt elimination power. They are great tools for growing cash flow. Whether by accelerating the elimination of debt or amplifying your investment capability, HELOCs can make a huge positive difference when used correctly. That is how we’ve framed HELOCs on this channel—as a useful tool for doing something that helps you build wealth. The Aven HELOC however, frames things quite a bit differently. Because it’s designed to be used as a credit card, it is twisting what was once a solid tool for a useful purpose into a useful tool for a soiled purpose.
