US Sugar Steam Engine 148 Pulls Private Cars! AAPRCO Special April 2022

US Sugar Corporation, FMW Solutions, Amtrak, and the American Association of Private Rail Car Owners put together a very successful excursion down rare mileage on USSC's 200+ mile network in south central Florida in April 2022. I joined several local railfans on a chase of the steam engine down the ex Atlantic Coast Line mainline between Sebring, FL and Clewiston, FL, buying a couple shots of the Amtrak end of the move as well starting from Opa-locka, FL near Hialeah Yard. It was a great outing seeing everyone and a fun chase. The collection of Private Cars was used to allow both the owners and invited/ticketed guests to enjoy the views along this very rare stretch of track which has for the most part only seen freight service until recently with the 4-6-2 steam locomotive #148's restoration.
