Disclaimer: Originally branded as Pink Hope, this video was produced before changing our name to Inherited Cancers Australia. While we no longer operate under the Pink Hope name, the video’s message continues to reflect our mission of supporting individuals and families facing inherited cancer risk. 'My oncologist said triple-negative breast cancer is the most aggressive, and it's going to be really tough.’ When the mother of three discovered that her stage 2 triple-negative breast cancer had spread to her lymph nodes, Rhiannon's immediate reaction was to fight back. ‘It's being aggressive, and we need to be aggressive back. My motto while growing up was to be prepared for anything. Even if you bite off more than you can chew, just bite like hell.’ Read the one-year update of our TNBC Project here: https://www.inheritedcancers.org.au/b... ---------- ‘Beyond the Diagnosis: Confronting Triple-Negative Breast Cancer’ unfolds as a 3-part documentary series by Pink Hope, sharing the compelling stories of Keely, Rhiannon, and Susan, all navigating the challenges of triple-negative breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) accounts for approximately 15% of all breast cancer diagnoses in Australia each year. This aggressive form of cancer predominantly affects younger women, resulting in poorer clinical outcomes, including higher relapse rates and lower survival rates. By giving a voice to these patients and sharing their lived experiences, this documentary series serves as a call to action, advocating for early detection, better support, further research, and medical advancements for triple-negative breast cancer with Australian political decision-makers.
