ArtistiCO- Virtual Dance Performance ArtistiCO is a platform created as a bridge to connect professional artists to the community through dance. Founders, Jose Alonso Rosales & Alfonso Meraza Prudente former principal soloists of the internationally renowned Ballet Folklorico De Mexico de Amalia Hernández, created the ArtistiCO platform to offer a safe and inclusive space for artists to still showcase their talent, showcase their talent, passion and artistic experience with people from all over the world. They both have performed with the most prestigious orchestras in Mexico, the most famous mariachi in the world Mariachi Vargas, in many international dance festivals, toured the world and danced and participated in more than 400 shows annually throughout Mexico. But their proudest moments took place in the Palace of fine Arts in Mexico City. ArtistiCO will take you on a journey through the colorful and vibrant Mexican culture. Starting with Veracruz where the Spanish and African influence infuses the intricate footwork and elegant costumes. Next the show will take a tropical twist that will take you to the coast of Sinaloa where the women demonstrate the complexity of the dress movement that the region brings to Mexican Folklore. ArtistiCO’s grand finale is their “Fiesta en Jalisco”, where you will enjoy the traditional music from Jalisco performed by Mariachi. The costumes and dances that you will see throughout the ArtistiCO journey are inspired by Amalia Hernandez. Enjoy
