This album originally was just a few pieces I put together to blow off some artistic steam during 2025 as my body threw a myriad of curves in my direction and I tried to heal from all of them. I’m still in the throes of that process. I always had a feeling that, if I lived long enough to see it, when the collapse of civilization started in earnest (as it seems to be doing now) my own physical state of things would mirror it...and that seems to be the case. It is kind of a whimsical/fanciful notion, but those aren’t always wrong. I will be adding this to my Bandcamp page and probably to Bandlab as well, but for now this is the best place to listen to it. Few will, but that’s largely beyond my control. All instruments and programming are by myself, John Ludi, as well as all the engineering and production. I took the cover photo too...it seems to fit the basic theme. Originally I was going to call this album by a different title, but it fit so well in it’s structure with World Without Words 1 and 2 that I decided to just call it “3”. Like the other two albums in the series, it is music from some other world...or perhaps from THIS world, eons after we have extincted ourselves from it and only some puzzling shards and fragments of our tenure remain for some new intelligent species to ponder over. Hopefully, if such a species exists in the future they won’t blow it like we have. I hope they’re wiser and kinder than we are...by a lot. As usual, towards the end of the process most of my equipment decided to test me in various ways...especially during the mastering...but I have persevered so far.
