During World War Two men who weren't deemed fit for service in the US Armed Forces would often sing up with the American Field Service. They'd see action as litter bearers and ambulance drivers like Americans had during World War I before the US entered that war. This film shows the many places that the AFS sent its volunteers. Including Burma, where they encountered elephants and underdeveloped villages. They built defenses with British soldiers. They were bombed by the Japanese and casualties needed care. When the Japanese got close they had to evacuate. The wounded were loaded on planes. For availability and licensing inquiries, please contact: https://www.globalimageworks.com/contact Ref: S105
