BRK Is Now A Hedge!!!

Berskhire stock (BRK.A, BRK.B) is now a hedge due to its cash position. In case of a market crash BRK could actually go up like it was the case in the 2000-2002 period when the S&P 500 crashed almost 50% while BRK went up 77% in the same period. The rationale is the following: with $325 billion in cash, Buffett is going to deploy that money in a crash. He usually likes to buy businesses that are temporary cheap but over the business cycle give at least a 10% earnings yield. A 10% earnings yield on $300 billion is $30 billion. If I add that to the current $40 billion of yearly earnings and deduct the $10 billion he is now getting on the cash from interest, I get to $60 billion in earnings for BRK. At the current PE ratio, BRK stock would go up, at the historical PE ratio of 15, it would stay stable (always comparing to a market crash), while even if down, it should crash less than the market. BRK should be a strong position in a fully invested US portfolio with the exposure much higher than the current BRK 1.73% exposure in the S&P 500. BRK now offers a better longer term return and a much less risk compared to the market and many other investments. My passion is to look for low risk high reward investment opportunities.
