Why do diets fail — even when they technically work? In this video, I break down why most diets don’t last and what actually worked for me to lose over 120 pounds and keep it off. I didn’t lose over 120 pounds because I found the perfect diet. I lost the weight when I stopped chasing plans and started understanding food — how it affects my body, my mind, and what I could realistically stick to long term. I’ve struggled with obesity most of my life. I tried keto, low carb, counting calories, different workout plans — you name it. Most of them “worked” for a few weeks. Some even worked for a few months. But I always ended up back where I started. The problem wasn’t that diets don’t work. The problem is that most diets are temporary by design. In this video I talk about: • Why diets are built for short-term results • Why hitting a number on the scale isn’t the real goal • Calories in vs calories out — and why it’s real but not as simple as it sounds • How confusion from conflicting nutrition advice keeps people stuck • Why consistency beats any specific diet • How I used intermittent fasting (2 meals a day → OMAD) • Learning how food affects my body and hunger • Fixing my relationship with food • Why enjoying food and even having “cheat meals” helped me stay consistent Temporary weight loss isn’t the goal. Living within a healthy weight range for life is. For me, that meant simplifying everything. Fasting, regular movement, tracking trends instead of obsessing over daily weigh-ins, and building something I could repeat on busy days, stressful days, and normal days — without feeling deprived. Your solution might look different than mine. What matters is finding something you can live with long enough to keep the weight off. If this helped, consider subscribing for more honest conversations about weight loss, mindset, and building a sustainable healthy life.
