by request, here is a demonstration of shaving an internal feature using the 4th axis. The same method would be used with any shape of form tool; splines, gears, whatever. As I warned in previous videos, it is difficult to see the process as it is, of course, internal, so to (hopefully) make the video more interesting, I selected a practical application of making a part for a new tool. The completed tool is then demonstrated at the end of the video.
