Analysis on Sibiya's testimony before the Ad Hoc Committee

Suspended Deputy National Commissioner for Crime Detection Shadrack Sibiya has denied allegations that he is a a close friend of controversial businessman Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala. Sibiya appeared for the second consecutive day before the the Ad Hoc Committee established to investigate allegations of criminal infiltration, corruption and political interference in the justice system. The allegations were made by KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi during a media briefing in July. Sibiya has been accused of having contact with Matlala and the businessman Brown Mogotsi. He's the third witness to testify before the committee.
