Enhancements: 1080p Emulator Used: Mame (Official) Machine: Thrill Drive (Ver. GE731UFB) Hardware: Konami Viper (It was also on Konami NWK-TR) Developer: Konami Publisher: Konami Played: Raced all tracks. Thoughts: Thrill Drive is seriously and awesome racing game. It reminds me of how people drive on the interstates in the USA. You start by selecting a car, bus, or truck and then go select a course in which there are three. Now when you race you can get into different types of accidents which increases a score called worst driver score. The game also scores you on different driver personality types. I know it sounds weird, but it's pretty funny. Each accident is followed by a scream and a face of a women panicking. There are three other cars you race against and I'm not too sure how much the placement of the race matters for score. Either way this game is fantastic in presentation, humor, and replayability. It is arcade exclusive and the arcade machine is really rare to find and are really, really expensive. So check it out in Mame, You can get much better performance now in Mame 286. This video was recorded running in Mame 285 and it ran pretty well, but I had to turn frameskip to auto. Check this one out!
