In this video, I’ll be sharing our 3-day itinerary to explore Kanazawa, one of Japan’s best-preserved historical cities. From serene gardens to traditional teahouses, Kanazawa offers a perfect blend of culture, nature and delicious food. On Day 1, we arrived at Kanazawa station and started our day at Omicho Market. From there, we explored the historic Oyama Shrine, Kanazawa Castle, and the Nezumitamon Bridge. Afterward, we took a stroll through Kenroku-en Garden and visited the peaceful Ishiura Shrine. For lunch, we ate at Higashiyama Mizuho before walking around the historic Higashi Chaya District. We were supposed to visit the Ochaya Art Museum but it was closed on that day. We also ate at Fumurochaya for dessert before checking into our hotel, Dormy Inn. For dinner we ate oden at Akadama Honten. On Day 2, we had an onigiri breakfast at 山里の咲, then we walked to our workshop at the Kaga-Yuzen Kimono Center. For lunch, we ate at Kourin Sushi before taking the bus to Nagamachi Samurai District. On Day 3, we had coffee at Angolo Caffe before our temaki sushi lunch at Coil Kanazawa. After walking around a bit more, we had another cafe stop at SWAY Coffee Roaster Kanazawa Kenroku-Machi Cafe. Then we walked over to the Kanazawa Folklore Museum and ended our stay in Kanazawa at the Ishikawa Prefectural Library before heading home.
