In this video, I compare two incredible cameras: the Leica SL3 (60MP full frame) and the Hasselblad 907X CFVII 50C (50MP medium format). Both are tested in one of my favorite scenarios — night city skyline photography. I set up long exposure shots of Los Angeles from the hills, using the Leica SL3 with the 24-90mm Vario-Elmarit and the Hasselblad 907X with the 55mm f/2.5. Same ISO 100, f/8, 10-second exposures. We’ll look at dynamic range, color rendering, detail, sharpness, and highlights. You’ll see how the medium format sensor of the Hasselblad 50C compares to the full-frame 60MP sensor of the SL3 in extreme low light. I also talk about stitching panoramas, lens effects on starbursts, pixel peeping at 100% and 200% magnification, and the differences in color science.
