TRIP REPORT | Old But Gold! The 10th Oldest A321! | Austrian A321 Business Class | Cairo to Vienna

Austrian Airlines Trip Report flying from Vienna to London Heathrow, in Business Class, onboard one of the already rare Austrian A321s, on a beautiful late-spring afternoon. A very comfortable flight on the Austrian Business Class onboard the Airbus A321 from Cairo to Vienna. However, the experience wasn't so good at Cairo Airport. What a messy airport! OMG! It's incredible how inefficient it is in almost every aspect. Not to mention how old and outdated terminal 3 looks. Sadly, an airport to avoid in the future. We took off from Cairo towards the southwest and quickly made a right turn to start our route to Vienna. We overflew the city of Cairo, enjoying some truly amazing views of it despite the smog cap that was covering it. We made the 180° turn over the Nile so the landscape was just perfect. We then flew over Egypt until reaching the Mediterranean, flying in course to the Turkish southern coast. Some summer storms were already developing so we had to avoid them. From there we flew towards Greece and Bulgaria. From there Serbia, Hungary and, finally Austria, landing in Vienna just on time. About the onboard service on the Austrian Business Class in this medium-haul flight, I must say that I was extremely surprised. It was a magnific menu. One of the best I've ever had on a plane (if not the best). A creamy salad was the starter, followed by one of two options, in my case a typical Austrian veal dish. Some kind of pepper cream with a 3-phased bread made the perfect side. When I thought nothing could improve that... the dessert was served. Oh-My-God! The best dessert I had on a plane and near to the best out of a plane as well: a hazelnut cake with hot chocolate and cream. Just perfect. All in all, a fantastic, marvelous, perfect experience onboard the Austrian Medium-Haul business class. After the onboard service, I completely forgot about the poor experience at Cairo airport Terminal 2. This flight was worth every single euro! Now it's your turn!
