Organic Potting Soil Blend aka Super Soil Warning: Do not use this for seedlings as it will be too hot, cut with a 30/30/30 mix of compost/peat or coco/aeration. If mixing more than 100 gallons, leave untouched in a pile to “cook” for 1-2 weeks. Main Mix - Approximately 7.5 Gallons or one cubic foot of soil Five gallon pails are excellent for mixing 2.5 gallons high quality compost, preferably a fish or crustacean You can cut compost 50/50 with worm castings 2.5 gallons peat or coco, or a 50/50 mix of both A wetting agent like Quillja or Yucca can be sprayed on the peat before mixing 2.5 gallons aeration - use one of, or a 50/50 mix of two Rice hulls, pumice, hydroton, volcanic rock, perlite (avoid for no-till setups) ½ Cup each Neem cake/meal or Karanja meal Kelp Meal Crustacean Meal - Crab or shrimp 1 Cup each Gypsum Oyster Shell Flour 2 Cups Basalt rock dust, noting any rock dust is ok but basalt is preferred Blend together well, spraying gently while mixing can help with dust.
