Does creative writing make you a writer, after all? A better reader, perhaps? In an uncertain world, like this one is, may any kind of writing be healing? Assuming that each sentence is a textual event on which we can both agree and disagree – especially when it is attempting to convince us of its categorical validity – are there any questions that can be answered with certainty? Creative writing, creative speech, art and imagination are factors that convince us that the foundations of uncertainty are more solid than those of regularity and certainty. If we fearlessly accept its existence, role and function in our daily lives, uncertainty proves to be an excellent source of inspiration, which not only rules but also motivates the modern applied culture. All the above will be elaborated and explicated by Mr Triantaphyllos Kotopoulos on the TEDx Patras 2019 stage. Visit TEDxPatras at http://www.tedxpatras.com/. Kotopoulos H. Triantafyllos is Associate Professor of “Creative Writing and Modern Greek Literature”, Director and Scientific Supervisor of the Joint Postgraduate Studies “Creative Writing” (Post Graduate Diploma) Curriculum “Creative Writing” (EAP – PDM) – the latter by the method of Open and Distance Education.
