'I Made It Up': Woody Testifies He Lied About The Night Donovan Thomas Was Murdered

Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton did not waste time this morning in her direct-exam of Kenneth "Woody" Copeland during the Young Thug / YSL trial in Atlanta. Hylton asked Copeland right out of the gate about Jan. 10, 2015, which is the night Donovan Thomas was gunned down on McDaniel Street in Atlanta. Copeland spoke to police about the shooting in 2015, so Hylton asked him about that interview, and he didn't back up his previous statements. Copeland in 2015 said Damekion "Lil D" Garlington and Shannon Stillwell got in his car and Lil D said something about who they killed Nut, but Copeland now says he was lying to get the police out of his face. Copeland was initially charged with Thomas' murder, but he never was indicted.
