A supergroup of sorts, Rebel Drones is led by Matt Hollywood, former founding member of the wonderful Brian Jonestowm Massacre. Featuring members of BJM, The Dandy Warhols and The Warlocks, they initially released a batch of songs online which garnered quite a reputation prior to them seeing a physical release via the Cardinal Fuzz and Little Cloud Records in 2018. There is no need to wax lyrically about the members of this band and all the experience and influence they bring as the songs are simply outstanding. I've been listening to these for what seems like a decade after i stumbled upon the tracks online. This track, Drugs, has pretty much everything i look for in music. Simple melodies, killer guitar sounds and chaos... i'm a man of simple taste!
