...and Why do they go there. Today on Fit Tip Tuesday I'm answering a Subscriber question about where to position notches along a sleeve cap. Sleeve cap notches do a few things for us. First, they identify the front and back of the cap. Traditionally, the front notch is a single triangle or other marking & the back notch is two triangles or other markings positioned close together. This makes it easy to know how to match the front and back of the cap with the front and back armhole when you set in the sleeve. Another thing is that notches show you where the sleeve cap needs to be gathered to fit into the armhole. In addition to the front and back notches, there's a third notch up on the top of the sleeve cap. This notch tells you where to align the cap with the shoulder seam. Join me to see how to position these notches and how they help you fit and sew your next top! How I drafted the sleeve in this tutorial: https://youtube.com/live/qYOiC-Q6yJI?...
