How about to knit an unusual chunky knit cardigan with simple cables? This super warm, cozy, and stylish piece is perfect for the upcoming season. The cardigan is worked back and forth using circular needles, starting from the mid-front and bottom up to the armholes. After reaching the armholes, the front and back pieces are completed separately. For the sleeves, you will work back and forth using circular needles (or straight needles) from the top down. The cable pattern on the sleeves is reversible and does not merge with the pattern on the front pieces. Finally, the pieces are sewn together—no tapestry needle needed, you can use your fingers!—to complete the cardigan. You will meet the following techniques: cast on, knit, purl, knit 2 together, c4f, c4b, cast off. This cardigan has approx. 10-20 cm/ 4-8 inches of positive ease at the bust, giving the cardigan a relaxed look. You can also choose to knit the next size up/ down. I am wearing a size S and, I am 168 cm tall (5’6’’) with a 89 cm (35 inches) bust circumference. 7 sizes are available in the PDF knitting pattern: XS (S, M, L) (XL, 2XL, 3XL). I demonstrate how to knit size S. Materials: 1. Yarn. In the cardigan pattern, I used "Crazy Sexy Wool" by Wool and the Gang in the color Mineral Pink. You will need 5 (5, 6, 7) (7, 8, 8) 200 g/ 7.05 ounce skeins for your size. For more budget-friendly options that meet the recommended gauge, you can consider the following alternatives (you will need 435 (435, 522, 609) (609, 696, 696) yards): 100% wool yarn. Drops "Polaris" (US $ 5.60*/ 100 g). Knit Picks "Tuff Puff" (US $ 5.99*/ 100 g). Soft and lofty "MillaMia Super Chunky" (US $ 12.99*/ 100 g). "Molly" by Mayflower (€ 13.50*/ 150 g). The prices provided are estimated. Feel free to choose any of these yarn options as alternatives, ensuring that you match the recommended gauge of 6 stitches and 12 rows (or 6 ribs) for a 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inch piece in Garter stitch. 2.
