Apple and Pecan is a great vegetarian stuffing recipe. A Classic Thanksgiving flavour combo, great for vegetarians, and this stuffing can be cooked in the air fryer. So if the oven is busy, you can still cook it in time. For this stuffing, you need the following: 300g of bread 2 Apples 1 onion 3 sticks of celery 50g of lightly toasted pecans 3 level tablespoons of sage (fresh is best, but dried would be fine, but only 2 tablespoons would be needed) 100g of melted butter 200mls of stock Salt and pepper First, cut up your bread into chunks and dry it out. You can even do this the day before. Then dice your apples, onion, celery, and chop the sage. Add it to a pan with a little square of butter to soften it all down to 15-20. mins on a low heat, you want even things to be well and truly soft and sweet. Add the softened veg to the dried bread with the stock, pecans, and melted butter. Squish it all together, taste it, and see if you need to season it more. Then, line your air fryer tray with foil so that no juice can escape, and then bake for 20-25 mins at 175 c until good and hot. It should also be nice and crispy on top too. Serve it up with your Thanksgiving dinner, and enjoy. Del x
