Hello dear patients. Today we are going to review the case from practice – streptoderma of foreskin. A young man came to the clinic with erosions in the area of inguinal fold and in the area of foreskin. This is seen on the picture. In inguinal fold these two erosions were surrounded by a collar of corneal layer of skin – upper layer of skin. Their borders are clear. As there’s no corneal layer on foreskin and the skin is very thin, then there’s no bordering. However, on foreskin, from time to time there’s bleeding and painful cracks within this relatively small erosion. Erosion appeared after a sexual contact with a condom on, probably, rubbing of this area facilitated it and earlier existing erosions in inguinal area probably gave that seeding to foreskin during such irritation. Subjectively, in the area of erosion, there was burning and itch. During irritations, washing, sometimes even small, pointy bleedings were noted, bleeding of this erosion and it suggests that as foreskin is quite thin, and when infection invades, there’s its thinning, erosion of vessels. So, culture tests were taken from the surface of erosion, streptococcus was found with sensitivity to antibiotics. External ointments with antibiotic were prescribed, by type of levomecolum, compresses with miramistin. Internally, unidox solutab antibiotic was prescribed, apart from that, intramuscular longidaza injections were prescribed. During such treatment, erosions in the area of penis and groin, completely resolved within 5-7 days. At the present time, no erosions were found during repetitive observation and the patient was discharged with healing. Indeed, for different bacteria it’s easier to invade thin skin of groin, inguinal area, inguinal folds, penis as well. This is also facilitated by sexual contacts, not following personal hygiene sometimes and seedings of focuses as well as decrease of immunity.
