NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were sent to space for eight days, but famously stayed for nine months aboard the International Space Station after problems with the Boeing Starliner spacecraft. Barry “Butch” Wilmore retired from NASA in 2025 after 25 years with the space agency, with 464 of those days spent in space.
