After a meeting with my Catholic spiritual director, silence has become a recurring theme in my prayer life. As a working mom, life has been feeling pretty noisy and busy and non-stop. Silence seems to be more of a luxury and an elusive thing. But when I see the nuns and the monks at church, they always seem so happy and at peace. Perhaps the pursuit of silence to achieve that deep interior silence that many of the saints achieved is the goal? How are you experiencing silence today? I'd love to learn.
