Before he was Dr John he was Lil Mac, before that he was Malcolm John Rebennack, Jr. Cultivating New Orleans style electric guitar with the guidance of Fats Domino's legendary guitarist Papoose, Mac had an ear for breaking free from styles by making his own dynamic gumbo of sound. As a teenage drug runner he was also the talent scout, song writer and producer for much of the hot RnB coming out on The Ric Label, The Ron Label, The Rex label and the legendary ACE label as well others. Leonard James aka Leonard Dauenhauar played hot New Orleans Saxophone helping to shape the rock & roll sound. More info on him and the other players would be appreciated. These sessions were produced by Cosmo Matassa, the legendary man who brought us rock and roll, Little Richard and all that by selling records out of his appliance shop(go read bout him).
