DETAIL APPRECIATION TIME! Watch ‘til the end for a ‘little’ surprise. 👀 Like before, the aim is to be as accurate as possible in terms of scale and real-life standard sizes. This was a real challenge since the furniture pieces in the student council office were all CHONKY big! The sofas were oversized (2400 MM long? That's almost 8 ft!! Though still possible), and their meeting table (which sometimes looked like a coffee table in some frames) would probably need another support in the middle to carry that solid wood top. I decided its height would be somewhere in between (approx 600 MM or 2 ft) as a compromise. Also, the overall style looks very traditional, with lots of wood elements and detail-heavy bulky furniture, reminiscent of early European architecture and interior design, WHICH MAKES SENSE since, in the source material, the prestigious Shuchiin Academy has been around as early as the 1700s and is also affiliated with a sister school in Paris, France. This room alone implies the school's prominence and long history, a perfect battleground indeed for our lovely tsundere couple. 🤣 Doing this project refreshed me with iconic interior elements and standard sizes that I used to study during the board exam. (Which I’ll probably expound in another post) Nonetheless, I really had a lot of fun modelling the details for the whole space, from the coffered ceiling, wall panelling, and up to the tiny mouldings on the cabinets and tables.
