Quien mas indicado que Jon Lucien alguien quien en vida fuera uno de los músicos y cantantes mas optimista que haya conocido. Jon Lucien a pesar de todas las adversidades que paso en su vida. Siempre fue un guerrero, inspirador y optimista. Quien atrevas de su música siempre nos sonreí y nos servia de ejemplo a seguir. Nacido en la isla caribeña Inglesa de Tortola y crecido en otra vecina llamada San Tomas, Islas Vírgenes. Luego a principios de los 90's se estableció en Puerto Rico en donde se enamoro del pueblo puertorriqueño y desde donde le era mas fácil moverse por su trabajo como artista exitoso en el jazz. Un de las situaciones mas difíciles que vivió Jon Lucien fue haber sido tocado directamente por la tragedia del accidente aéreo del vuelo 800 de TWA cuando su hija Dalila Lucien de a penas 17 años de edad pereciera junto con su tía Ana Marie Shorter, esposa del saxofonista de jazz Wayne Shorter, cuando N93119, el Boeing 747 avión de la mencionada linea aerea en donde viajaban 230 pasajeros con destino a París, Francia, se estrelló en el Océano Atlántico frente a la costa de Long Island, Nueva York, poco después de despegar del Aeropuerto Internacional John F. Kennedy el 17 de julio de 1996. Ese mes, Lucien entró en el estudio y comenzó a grabar sin fin es amor. Buscando consuelo en el estudio, reflexionó: "Mi hija no quiere sentarse a ser infeliz me miro y nos comunicamos Hacemos música La música es una fuerza especial...." Quiero dedicar esta canción titulada "You're Sensational" (Eres Sensacional) a la memoria de Jon Lucien. Uno de los artistas mas humildes que he conocido y que tuve tuve el privilegio de conocer por primera vez cuando trabaje como parte de la producción en este concierto para el canal Jazz, justamente seis meses después del accidente que le costo la vida a dos de los suyos. Who else than more indicated than Jon Lucien. Someone who lives as one of the most happy and optimistic musicians, singer/songwriter that ever knew. Jon Lucien despite all odds happened in your life. He was always a warrior and very inspiring person. Who dare of his music always smiled and served us an example to follow. Born in the British Caribbean island of Tortola and raised in another neighbor called Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands. Then in the early 90's was established in Puerto Rico where he fell in love with the with beauty of the island and its people, plus from there where it was easier to move around the world for his performances as a successful jazz artist. One of the most difficult situations who lived Jon Lucien was to have been touched directly by the tragedy of the crash of TWA Flight 800 where his 17-year-old daughter Dalila Lucien, along with his aunt Anne Marie Shorter, wife of saxophonist Wayne Shorter jazz, died when N93119, the Boeing 747 airliner in that where 230 passengers bound for Paris, France, crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Long Island, New York, shortly after takeoff from International Airport John F. Kennedy on July 17, 1996. That month, Lucien entered the studio and began recording is endless love.
