Deep Brass engrave with 100 watt MOPA laser

After much tinkering and testing on 1mm brass plate these engravings were successfully executed. I’m sorry about the audio in the middle of the video; I didn’t realize how much interference there would be between the laser and the vacuum. If you turn it up you can make it out but I’d do things differently if I was a time traveler. Also, we only had candle wax and a ratty piece of heavy black cardstock for the sample seals. The proper wax will make for a better showing than a melted white candle. The depth of the engraving ended up at 1.8mm on one stamp and 1.6mm on the other.
