Diana's second sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, gives a short reading: "Time is too slow for those who wait". There is then a hymn 'The King of love my Shepherd is': The King of love my Shepherd is, whose goodness faileth never; I nothing lack if I am his and he is mine for ever. Where streams of living water flow my ransomed soul he leadeth, and where the verdant pastures grow with food celestial feedeth. Perverse and foolish oft I strayed, but yet in love he sought me, and on his shoulder gently laid, and home rejoicing brought me. In death's dark vale I fear no ill with thee, dear Lord, beside me; thy rod and staff my comfort still, thy cross before to guide me. Thou spread'st a table in my sight; thy unction grace bestoweth: and O what transport of delight from thy pure chalice floweth! And so through all the length of days thy goodness faileth never: good Shepherd, may I sing thy praise within thy house for ever. During the hymn Cliff Richard can be seen in the congregation. Followed by: Prime Minister Tony Blair gives a reading from the Bible: 1 Corinthians 13 Elton John begins his tribute song, 'Candle in the Wind': Goodbye England's rose; may you ever grow in our hearts. You were the grace that placed itself where lives were torn apart. You called out to our country, and you whispered to those in pain. Now you belong to heaven, and the stars spell out your name. And it seems to me you lived your life like a candle in the wind: never fading with the sunset when the rain set in. And your footsteps will always fall here, along England's greenest hills; your candle's burned out long before your legend ever will. Loveliness we've lost; these empty days without your smile. This torch we'll always carry for our nation's golden child. And even though we try, the truth brings us to tears; all our words cannot express the joy you brought us through the years. The final verse of the song is in Part 17.
