Why I Prefer The Nepenthes St Gaya To The Nepenthes Ventrata

Both the Nepenthes ventrata (Nepenthes ventricosa and Nepenthes alata hybrid) and the Nepenthes St. Gaya (Nepenthes khasiana, Nepenthes maxima, and Nepenthes ventricosa hybrid) are commonly found at your local garden center or farmer's market. However, with the ones in my collection, I found that the pitchers on the Nepenthes St. Gaya seem to last a much longer time than those on the Nepenthes ventrata even though they're situated against the same west-facing window. It could be that the Nepenthes ventrata prefers a slightly different environment.
