A series aiming to give a virtual tour of the U.K.'s most remote, inhabited island - Fair Isle. Join me, Rachel, as I guide you round the sights and locations of the island that has been my home for the last five years. I hope to share with you the stunning scenery of the isle and a look at life here. Episode 26 - Meoness to South Harbour Join me for a walk today: starting where we left off in Episode 24 at Meoness, we carry on round the coastline to South Harbour and end with a walk along the pebbly beach there. We see some more seabirds, including a gannet flying by with some kind of prey in its beak. We also see an 'interesting' method of controlling erosion caused by burrowing rabbits...! As with Episode 24, I had hoped to leave the soundtrack 'au naturel' but, unfortunately, the noise of the wind on the recording was so loud that it drowned out everything else! Over the last few months I've been sharing with you the music of Burrian - well today I've a real treat as I'm now able to introduce you to Fridarey! Fridarey is more-or-less the same line-up as Burrian but Stewart's son, Ewan, is now replaced by Neil's daughter Eileen. I'm sure you will agree that the music is still as wonderful though.
