In this video from Learn Electrics, we will explain some of the fault messages that a PAT test meter might display when conducting an Inspection and Test on Electrical Equipment. This came about because we had a recent request concerning PAT testing. A request for a little help in understanding what the fault messages were indicating. What sort of problems can we get when PAT testing, and how does the test meter show this? So in this video we will look at the basic tests and the fault messages that might be displayed. We will use simple drawings to show the set-up and the possible causes with photos of the messages as displayed on our tester. This video is not intended to replace a formal training course, but it will help with any course and enable you to more easily understand the methods and requirements of the Code of Practice.
